Gallery - 1977 Trek TX700 owned by Steve Mann

Steve writes, "This is a TREK TX700 bike from 1977. The serial number is G5 D7 B56. I have owned it since I purchased it new in August of 77 at Cycle Sport Ltd. in Springfield, Ill. (The shop is no longer in business.) It was built up by the shop, with some changes that I wanted on the set up."

"The bike is about 99% original. The only parts that have been replaced are the pedals, tires, brake lever hoods, and handle bar tape. The frame is maroon, made of Reynolds 531, and it measures 25.5". The seat is a Wright's saddle. The components are: Sugino crank; Suntour Cyclone derailleur; Araya 27x11/4 rims; Sunshine hubs; Dia-Compe G #0776 brakes; Sakae custom/road champion handlebars, and SR #76.9 seat post. I love riding this bike."
